This last summer, brad and I were planning to buy a dog from this girl that went to school with us. Her pit bull had puppies and she couldn’t keep them all. We were able to have Lucy (that’s what we named her) over night to see if she would be a good fit with our other dog. She was PERFECT! The only problem was that we were planning our wedding and we wouldn’t be able to take her until mid August or September, which was later than she wanted. So we sadly had to say goodbye to Lucy so that she could be sold to another paying family. Later, we found out that the girl selling her ended up keeping her for herself, along with 3 other dogs in her apartment. Now, six months later, we’ve been told that Lucy as well as the other puppy that she kept have died. After several attempts to figure out why, she finally messaged me today saying that Animal Control and the Humane Society forced her to euthanize them for NO REASON AT ALL. Call me crazy, but dogs that are being taken care of properly are not put down for no reason. There’s more to this story that she won’t tell us, and I hate that we weren’t able to take her home with us. She would still be here if she was with us. This is a picture of Lucy when she was still in our care.
